Ministry & Mission Partners

Community Table

Community of Grace supports Community Table, formerly Arvada Food Bank, through both food donations and monetary donations. Our neighbors face food insecurity as well as homelessness. An astonishing 99.17% of the individuals who receive services from Community Table, live at less than 100% of the poverty level. Hunger remains a serious problem in Jefferson County, where 1 in 10 children live in a family that struggles with hunger. Hunger affects the way children learn and develop.

Coloradans for the Common Good

Coloradans for the Common Good (formerly IAF Colorado) brings together religious and civic organizations with the purposes of strengthening citizen leadership, developing trust across a community’s dividing lines, and taking action on community issues identified by local community leaders. CCG is addressing such issues as education, improving internet access for students, better access to school meals during the pandemic, and affordable housing.

REMAR Missions

REMAR’s orphanage and school in La Libertad, El Salvador is a local ministry of REMAR International a Christian organization which serves the poor in 53 countries. The orphanage is home to about 60 children, most of whom have been removed from their homes due to abuse. These children attend the Mt. Olive School which is run by REMAR staff and which has a total enrollment of over 200 children. REMAR serves these children not only with a good education but also with loving support, personal development, and spiritual nurture. We have sent mission teams to La Libertad.

Colorado Safe Parking Initiative

Colorado Safe Parking Initiative is a community driven initiative to provide a safe environment for people in the Denver metro area who are sheltering in vehicles because they’re experiencing homelessness. Safe parking provides many benefits including safe, legal overnight parking with restroom access, connection to additional supporting services and a caring community to be a part of while they strive to get back on their feet and into suitable, long-term housing.

Ralston House Child Advocacy Center

The Ralston House Child Advocacy Center works with law enforcement, child protective services, district attorney’s offices in the 1st and 17th Judicial Districts (Jefferson, Adams, Gilpin and Broomfield counties), and the community to provide a safe place to investigate child abuse and ensure victim services for children who have been physically or sexually abused or witnessed violence.

Second Wind Fund

Suicide is the leading cause of death for youth in Colorado. Effective suicide prevention programs, like Second Wind Fund, bring hope and support to youth struggling with thoughts of suicide. Second Wind Fund exists to help youth at risk for suicide access professional counseling services by removing financial and social barriers. We help in a variety of ways—from paying for counseling services with licensed, specialized providers to negotiating the complexities of finding a qualified mental health professional.

Restoring Connections

The community based non-profit Restoring Connections, formerly known as The Center for Spirituality at Work, seeks to change lives through spiritual transformation and social justice. Its Re-entry and Soul Care programs connect incarcerated and recently released women from the Denver Women’s Correctional Facility with Soul Care providers. These trained volunteers offer women the support they need and allow them to take charge of their future. The volunteers are a source of emotional and spiritual support, which in turn, reduces recidivism and enables spiritual growth for all involved.

Missionary: Shawn Harmon

Shawn, a college friend of Abby McCubbin, has been preparing to serve in Refugee Ministry in Rome as part of the Presbyterian Church’s Antioch Partners. He will leave the US and arrive in Rome on June 1 for a three-year term. When meeting with the Mission Committee, Shawn demonstrated passion and sincerity for this cross-cultural incarnational, mission. He seems uniquely equipped for this ministry.

Zimbabwe Kidz

Zimbabwe Kidz, formerly known as, Connecting Mission Partnership, was formed to raise finances for the education of children in Zimbabwe. The needs to be met are determined through communication with a subcommittee in the Presbytery of Zimbabwe and Zimbabwe Kidz Mission Partnership.  Our main goal is to provide clean water at the Presbyterian schools that do not have clean water or churches that desire to have a pre-school program and are required to have clean water.  Donations specifically toward school supplies are always welcome.

Lomagundi Clinic

Lomagundi Clinic Mission Partnership has been formed to share with the Presbytery of Zimbabwe in providing healthcare for the community. This mission partnership helps to support the Lomagundi Clinic in Chinhoyi, Zimbabwe and assists in providing financial support, supplies, medicine and training.
